Why "Let Go of What You Can't Control" Doesn't Work (and what do do about it!)

Apologies for the sound quality of this week's episode! I was walking my dogs yesterday and just had to record right there, right then!

You've heard it, right? "Let go of what you can't control." Seems simple. But for those of us who struggle with anxiety and worry, it is anything but simple. Join me today as I talk about why that doesn't work for us and how we can work toward letting go.

I've mentioned that October has been the busiest month of my life, so I'll tell you now these show notes are skinny! And you know what? I won't apologize because, like you, I believe I am trying hard, working faithfully, and doing the best I can to juggle my current responsibilities. Thank you for the grace I know you're giving me 😘

Here's the basics for today. I'll share personal revelations (as always!) and some practices that have helped me tremendously over the past couple of days, including:

  1. Rely on your life system/faith.

  2. Take your thoughts captive.

  3. Give it to God.

  4. Speak your gratitude.

  5. Focus outward through prayer or service.
