Welcome back to Consider Yourself Hugged! Click here to listen to Episode 122. OR click YouTube below to watch! (***Disclaimer: I provide these notes as a skeleton for the show - nothing fancy 😄)
I am in the process of weaning off Lexapro and 10 questions came to mind on a recent walk. I hope you'll take time today to watch/listen to my mental health journey as you process yours.
Disclaimer: This is not intended to be medication advice, judgement, criticism, or any other form of interference in your journey. It's simply some things to consider. Your individual path should be YOUR decision with proper guidance and information.
Below are the 10, in the order they came to my mind, and please watch/listen for more details.
Questions to consider:
1. Am I clear on my purpose in using the medication?
2. Am I working on my mental health in other ways?
3. Am I ashamed of my journey?
4. What is my diagnosis?
5. Am I still growing as a person?
6. Is medication one part of my journey or the only part?
7. Do I understand the science?
8. Do I ask questions of my PCP?
9. Am I getting counseling?
10. What do I call the medication? Instead of saying my medication or my meds say the Lexapro.
