CYH Episode 96: Intro to New Series: Women in the News

Welcome to Consider Yourself Hugged: A Place for Women! Click here to listen to Episode 95. (***Disclaimer: We provide these notes as a skeleton for the show - nothing fancy 😄)

We have exciting news: For the next 4 weeks (at least) we are doing a series on Women in the News. Our goal is to dissect the story and extract lessons we can apply to our own mental and emotional health. We'll say this many times, but we are NOT attempting to pass judgement or take sides on any of these issues. We just want to help YOU.

Below are quick descriptions and links to the women in our upcoming 3 episodes. We're not quite sure yet on week 4, so we'd love your ideas and your feedback. If you enjoy this and it helps, we might do more!

1. Kim Potter:

Kim Potter was found guilty of first-degree manslaughter and second-degree manslaughter in the April 11 killing of Daunte Wright. In this episode, we'll chat about things like women and emotions and how to move on when you've hurt someone. Here's a link if you'd like to read some before the episode!

2. Ghislane Maxwell was found guilty of sex trafficking of a minor, transporting a minor with the intent to engage in criminal sexual activity and three related counts of conspiracy. In this episode, we'll talk about things like betrayal by another woman, lying, and falling from grace.

3. Elizabeth Holmes founded a company who claimed it could test for a range of health disorders with just a few drops of blood. That turned out to be false. On January 3rd, she was found guility of 11 counts of fraud against investors.

Thanks for joining today! As we’ve always asked in the past, please pass the show link along to your friends and subscribe, download, and review wherever you are listening. If you’re a woman and you haven’t joined our private FB group A Place for Women, please do that now! Either there or here, send us some feedback. Do you like this idea? Do you have some women you'd like to hear about? Finally, click here for Michelle's website to learn more about her practice.

Thank you so much for joining us again and for the upcoming growth of our place for women!

And until next time ladies, Consider Yourself Hugged 😘🤗
